Ramsey County Roseville Library Asks Donors to Leave a Lasting Impression in the Children’s Outdoor Reading Garden
ROSEVILLE, MINN. (Dec. 1, 2009) – Reading opens the door to a world of imagination and lifetime learning for a child. When the newly renovated Ramsey County Library in Roseville opens next summer, children and families will enjoy a new place to expand their minds: an Outdoor Reading Garden made possible by grants, donations, and sponsorships from local businesses and residents.
Twin Cities businesses, residents and supporters of the Ramsey County libraries still have the opportunity to make an impact on future generations of learners. The Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries is selling 8 inch by 8 inch engraved brick pavers that will be placed in the Outdoor Reading Garden. Pavers are $250 each and can be laser engraved with up to 6 lines of text with names, special occasions, nursery rhymes, favorite quotes or any special message for the children. Logos can be included for an additional $100 donation.
“The Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries is proud to offer families, book clubs, businesses, organizations, and individuals an opportunity to leave a permanent mark in the Outdoor Reading Garden, one of the highlights of the renovation efforts at the Ramsey County Library in Roseville,” said Sue Gehrz, director of the Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries. “This garden will be enjoyed by children and families for many years to come and I am thrilled with all of the support we have received so far.”
Donations can be made by visiting a Ramsey County library or by contacting Sue Gehrz at 651.486.2213. Orders must be received by February 8, 2010 in order for the brick to be placed in time for the grand opening celebration in June.
