Bloggers Help Memoir of Me Help the Community
Thanks to Memoir of Me, many families will remember this January forever. The maker of personalized books for kids implemented one aspect of its community relations program by donating 99 books in 33 days to deserving families. To find the appropriate recipients, the agency helped Memoir of Me reach out to online communities and the media. The result? Plenty of magical memories and a new legion of Memoir of Me fans.
In the personalized, illustrated Memoir of Me books, children – and their parents – are the main characters. The books inspire children to fall in love with reading and foster warm connections between parents and their kids.
To spread the joy to deserving families, Memoir of Me CEO and author Michelle LeBow initiated a “giving frenzy” in January. LeBow has always wanted to donate books to families in need, and her “99 Books in 33 Days” program did just that.
Our online marketing team worked with Memoir of Me to solicit suggestions of deserving recipients by spreading the word through social and traditional media. From Twitter to Facebook to LeBow's own personal blog and beyond, nominations of families came from all around the world.
The “99 Books in 33 Days” program had remarkable results for Memoir of Me. Not only did visibility for Memoir of Me and its personalized books dramatically increase through online mentions in blogs and social media, but Web site visits and overall brand awareness jumped as well.
For LeBow, the “giving frenzy” also achieved a personal goal of giving back. For the recipients of the books, the program strengthened parents' connections with their children – and touched many hearts.
